Homemade Apple Juice

We went to Greenbluff about a month ago and I picked a bunch of apples with the intent to make applesauce for Duncan. The apples have been sitting on my kitchen table just starring at me. I finally decided to make applesauce today. I've been putting it off because I didn't want to peel them all and steam them and the purée. It just seemed like a long task. So today I realized I could make it in the vitamix. Super easy! I made applesauce first and I tasted ok but then I decided to make some apple juice. After I made the apple juice I decided that it tastes way better than the sauce so I made the sauce into more juice! And I did it all during one nap!

An Update in Pictures

So this post is worth about a million words! It's been awhile since I've blogged so this is going to be a bit of a picture dump.

First, we went over to the west coast and visited some friends Kim, Eddie, and Danica. Danica was born about 15 hours before duncan. They became close friends pretty fast. Duncan was still recovering from a little bit of a cold though so he had to wear a mask! Unfortunatly the mask didn't stop Duncan from sharing his germs and I think we got them a little sick. Sorry. 

After visiting Kim, Eddie, and Danica we headed down to Olympia to visit Amy, Sam, and Parker. The boys enjoyed some time together while watching Elmo. Then Parker tried to teach Duncan how to play ball.

 This last weekend we were in Couer d'Alene for Kim and Ben's little boy Brayden's baby blessing. Duncan was enjoying singing but then he got tired of it and decided to take a quick nap on the hymnal. 

 After the blessing we went over for some delicious lunch and Duncan learned how to be a cowboy!

5 Months!

5 Months Old! Can you believe it? I can't. I feel like I just gave birth to this little boy yesterday. He is becoming so much fun though. He just started to roll over both directions a few days ago so he is our little rollie pollie now. He rolled across the entire living room tonight. He loves it. He is constantly laughing, screeching or eating something. He's pretty much always happy, even when he's getting tired and ready for a nap. Taking pictures of him laying still is becoming a thing of the past.

Just a Little Update with a Lot of Pictures!

I just thought I'd update you all on Duncan. He has been taking some super cute pictures lately and I wanted to share them with everyone, so prepare for a picture overload!

He had just rolled over to his stomach and was working on rolling back. He's pretty good now at going from his back to his tummy and sort of good at getting back over on his back.

Story Time!

Guess Who's 4 Months Old?

DUNCAN!

Can you believe that Duncan is already 4 months old? He's getting so big! Duncan has really found his voice lately. He loves to scream really loud. He loves sucking on his hands. He's working on rolling over. He's really good at getting to his side but has trouble getting all the way over. He tolerates tummy time but doesn't really enjoy it. We went to the doctor today for his shots and check up. He weighed in at 14.4 lbs (38%), height 26 in (84%), and head circumference 17 in (74%). So he is going to be a tall skinny boy! He also got 2 more shots today. He screamed when he got them but he settled down pretty quick and fell asleep for a nap.

A Little Taste of Duncan

Duncan is working of sitting up by himself. He's been working on his core muscles by performing multiple sets of sit ups every time he is laying down. 

He's getting to be such a big boy!

I'm working on making a beanie and it looks like a little beret so Duncan decided to model it for me! 

We recently bought Duncan some teething toys and this one always gets stuck on his nose!

Duncan + Water

Duncan LOVES the water. We went to Ephrata for Labor Day weekend and we went to the pool while we were there and he loved it! We played in the water for about 40 minutes before I got tired of it and decided to get out. 

He also LOVES his baths. He could sit in there for an hour and just splash and kick and giggle!

 This picture was supposed to go up with the last post about being 3 months old. It was taken with an iPhone in low light so it's not the best quality but it's super cute! I don't have a 2 month picture to compare it to but I do have 1 month.

A Little Taste of Duncan... 3 Months

The past three months have been the best three months ever! Duncan is the cutest baby ever and is only getting cuter every day. He has so much personality now and loves to smile and laugh. He makes this really high pitch squeal when he gets excited and it's so funny. Duncan and I have been going for walks almost every day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we meet up with our friends Beth and Oliver. Oliver is 3 weeks older than Duncan. We have a lot of fun together. So I totally missed his two month update because we were in Utah. For his three month though he is weighing in around 13 pounds and 24 inches long. He's started to get a little chunkier. He's definitely getting some thigh rolls.

One night we were watching tv and Duncan was just hanging out next to us. We thought he was looking at the tv too but when we looked over he was zonked out!

Duncan got a new toy from one of my parents neighbors. He can't quite reach the toys yet but he likes standing up in it.

This is my favorite picture I have ever taken of him. We were doing a little photo shoot for Ryan's mom's birthday. All of the rest of the pictures are from that same shoot.
