32 weeks and a Happy Birthday to ME!!!

On Sunday I reached 32 weeks! I can't believe that we only have 8 weeks left! I've started to go to the doctors every 2 weeks now. I'm also pretty sure that I've started to experience some small contractions. I wasn't sure what they were but at my doctors appointment he said that when my stomach becomes really tight it's most likely a small "practice" contraction. Sleeping at night is also becoming a little more of a challenge. Don't get me wrong, I'm still loving being pregnant but I am also very excited to have this baby out of my belly and in my arms. 

 Today was my 23rd birthday! I had a ton of fun. My mom took me to lunch with some good friends Amber, her two adorable kids, and Kristy. We went to Red Robin and I think it's become a tradition since we did the same thing last year too! We had a ton of fun. Lunch was kind of a birthday lunch for all of us since we all had a birthday within the last month so we told our waitress that we were celebrating 5 birthdays. She looked at us kind of suspicious but still brought us all a delicious ice cream! After lunch my mom spoiled me and took me to a nail salon to get a pedicure. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!! Usually my feet are way too ticklish but I did ok today and enjoyed it. It may have been the super comfy massage chair that I got to sit and relax in that helped. The pedicure also turned out to be way cheaper than we had expected so we decided that it may have to become a monthly thing that we do! 

Later that night Ryan and I headed over to my parents for dinner. As long as I can remember my mom has always decorated the kitchen for our birthdays. When we all lived at home she would get up super early, sometimes as early as like 4:30 in the morning, to decorate the kitchen so that when we came down for breakfast it would be the first thing we saw! She is the best mom ever!!! 

After a delicious dinner of salmon, salad and potatoes we headed out for some yummy froyo! A new place opened up a few weekends ago that is literally 2 blocks from our house. They have a delicious peanut butter froyo that is amazing when topped with delicious chocolate candies. I can already see this being a favorite stop on my summer walks. It may counter everything that I do on the walk but it is so good that I probably won't care :)

Nursery Update!!!

Hello everybody!!! 

I finally got my crib set up and some blankets put in it! I was missing 5 screws for the crib so I've been driving around town everywhere trying to find the right ones. I finally decided to just get any screws that were the same size but had a different top to them. It turned out to work just fine.

24 Weeks & Sunday Dessert!

 If you didn't already know...I'm pregnant! I am 24 weeks today. I had a doctors appointment on Friday and everything is looking good. He (it's a boy!) is just over 1 pound and about the length of an ear of corn. 

I haven't had any weird cravings. I hear about women having strange cravings or any sort of cravings. I don't think that I have had any. I enjoy eating food but nothing in particular. Today I was excited to bake. I have wanted to bake some cookies for quite some time and I finally did it! I made oatmeal cookies and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. They almost taste like carmel oatmeal cookies though because of all the sugar. They are D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S!

New Traditions...

This year for Valentine's I was kind of obsessed with creating a tradition that we could do every year for Valentine's Day from now on. I think that I was successful and I'm excited for next year to try out our tradition. What is that tradition you might ask? Well, don't get to excited because it's nothing fancy but it was fun....

They are these super cute pillows that look like pets! They would be great for families that are not ever allowed to have cats, dogs, ferrets, or any other form of live animals! I hear they are super soft and cuddly. I'm really hoping to win this time. I previously lost the giveaway for a cute alphabet poster but I'm hoping for better luck this time and more entries! Dental Appointment

Ryan recently asked me when the last time I went to the dentist was... I responded, "I'm pretty sure I went just before we got married while I was still on my parents insurance." That of course would have been close to a year ago now so I needed to go in. Apparently you're supposed to go like every 6 months I guess!? So I finally made an appointment and when I was there asked when my last appointment was. To my amazement they told me April of 2008! That is nearly 2 1/2 years! Most people and dentists would understand if you were a student and didn't have dental insurance but I had no excuse! I have always been insured and just never went! So, I was told that I had a cavity and also I was having a previous filling restored to white so that is doesn't look like there is food stuck between my teeth!
I had the procedure done this morning but I'm thinking that they did the wrong tooth because I'm not noticing much of a difference. What do you think?

Cute Baby/Va-Cay/ Extreme Home Makeover

This adorable little guy is the main reason we all went down to Texas. He is so cute. He is 4 weeks in these pictures and he still looks just like a newborn. He is so small. This is the only picture that we got of him smiling and isn't it just adorable!

While we were there Ryan (my brother) was setting up his classroom for school and one of the days we decided to go down and help him get set up. While there we may have posed Ethan for some photos. I think Beth may have started to get worried with all the different pictures we were posing Ethan for!

I just can't get over how adorable he is! I love him so much and miss him so much. Beth and Ryan try to send us pictures of him everyday and I love getting them. He is now up to 10 pounds! He's growing so fast.

While we were there we also helped Beth and Ryan fix up there house. We laid floors, painted, trimmed trees and bushes, and fixed the plumbing! It was quite a week.

While we were there all the girls decided to have their eyebrows threaded. It's this new way to shape and pluck your eyebrows.

So, the video claims that it is a less painful and easier, but don't be fooled, it is incredibly painful!! Our eyebrows did look great but Oh My GOSH! It hurt so bad.

So, our week was great and I was sad to leave. I love seeing all of my family. I can't wait until Christmas to see them all again!
